Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Verscout, a macOS desktop application published by Vohux Inc. By downloading or using Verscout, you agree to these terms.

Effective date: April 18, 2026

1. License Grant

Vohux Inc. ("we", "us") grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Verscout on macOS devices that you own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not sublicense, redistribute, or resell Verscout.

2. Free Trial

Verscout offers a 21-day free trial with full functionality. No payment information is required to start the trial. When the trial expires, scanning and update features are disabled until you purchase a subscription. You may continue to view previously collected data.

3. Subscription Terms

After the trial, continued use of Verscout requires an active paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed through our payment processor, Paddle, and renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Paddle account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Existing subscribers will be notified of price changes at least 30 days in advance and may cancel before the new price takes effect.

4. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble Verscout
  • Circumvent or disable license verification or trial restrictions
  • Use Verscout to develop a competing product
  • Use Verscout in any manner that violates applicable law
  • Redistribute, sublicense, or share your license key with unauthorized users

5. Intellectual Property

Verscout, including its code, design, documentation, and branding, is the intellectual property of Vohux Inc. and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Your license to use Verscout does not transfer any ownership rights.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Verscout is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Verscout will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Verscout facilitates software updates but does not guarantee the safety, compatibility, or stability of third-party software updates. You are responsible for reviewing updates before applying them.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vohux Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of Verscout — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from your use of Verscout shall not exceed the amount you paid for Verscout in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your license if you violate these terms. Upon termination, you must uninstall Verscout and destroy all copies. Sections 5 through 7 survive termination.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Verscout application or on this page. Continued use of Verscout after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
